“Tour de Wine” is a pub-crawl of some sort in the city of Lillesand. Each place in town have 40 tickets each, and you go from place to place and drink one glass of wine every stop. We are unfortantly sold out, so we hope you got a ticket.

If you didn’t got a ticket. Please visit some of the other pubs and restaurants in town. They might have a few tickets left. It doesn’t really matter where you buy the ticket. You get to visit us during the evening anyway!

Do you want a great night with wine, food and great stories? We have invited Torbjørn Ribe to tell us stories from his experience with wine and European culture.He has traveled around the world as a tour guide and have snap up a thing or two about wine, wine making and European history.

Have a drink, have some food, have a good time!

Here at Banken we offer great local draft beer, amazingly good wine, and high-class cocktails. Every bartender is trained to perfection to give you the perfect result every time. Our drink menu is season-based and contains well know classics and new drinks developed by the Banken Team. We believe that a good drink or beer is as important than the food. A meal is not only food, it is a package deal! Food, atmosphere, friends, family and a good drink! We only use big brand spirits and fresh berries and juices. No fake stuff in this bar my friend! In the soda-department we use the great an well tasting pepsi-products. On the shelfs we also have brandy, whiskey and other high quality liquor.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas party season is approaching. We offer great deals on Christmas parties.

We can offer what food you and your colleges want! No doubt about that. Our pub is perfect for closed parties and we promise to go the extra mile to keep you guys happy. Send us an email and we will give you a offer.

The city of Lillesand

Lillesand is a small city whit big history! Our little town is known from one of the most beautiful archipelagos in the whole country. The place is packed with great places to eat and drink.

The city was established in 1838. People like Henrik Ibsen, Knut Hamsun and William Copeland have strong connections to the little town in the south of Norway.

Make sure to visit us at Banken some day. We will tell you the whole story about Our town.

Bankens placement

Our little pub is a bit outside of the Main Street. This has many opportunities and benefits, therefore have we in the team combined a list of great reasons why the pub are placed where it is.

5. Cheaper rent
Rent places in the city are quite expensive. Rent a place to keep our business a bit outside of the city centre can be a good thing. We have more room then many other pubs in town. We have more room in the budget for other stuff. We can provide more types of drinks, and hire musicians more often. This is because the rent is cheaper.

4. Less noise
Traffic can be a pain in the butt. not only when you’re in it, but also while having a meal or a drink outside. Hundred cars passing by in a minute doesn’t create a great environment to eat in.

3. Room for activities
With fewer competitors around in our close neighbourhood we have more room for activities. We can arrange bigger events outside and do more as we want.

2. Less competitors
There are almost no pubs or restaurant that sees us a competitor. This makes it a lot easier to make friends in the business and corporate with other establishments in the town of Lillesand.

1.Bigger challenge
Running a pub outside of the main street in a city with a lot of tourism can be a challenge. We want to be a pub for the community and pleas the locals more than the tourist. We believe that the locals are as important than the tourists are. We therefore make sure that the locals can enjoy a great time in our pub all year.

What is Banken?

Banken is a fairly new pub in the town of Lillesand. We opened during easter in 2019 and want to please the good people of lillesand for years to come.

We are going to post regularly and show you how we run our little pub. we hope to give you updates every week.

Our pub is located in the city’s old bank. The place have a lot of history and we want to keep the tradition of making more history!

We focus on great food, good drinks and even better atmosphere!
